When Luka Construction came to us, they were facing a problem. And despite having an excellent business model, five-star customer service and high levels of referrals, they struggled to bring in business online.
London’s residential properties already come with a premium, and when the average return on investment for the home extension market is around 71%, it’s clear why so many Londoners opt to extend instead of moving. The demand is definitely out there, but builder discoverability in this highly competitive market can be tricky, particularly online.
To increase inbound leads, search ranking and online conversion, there was also a need to redefine the business in not only reach but appeal. We joined forces with Luka Construction to help them win over their key target audience online: London’s perfectionist home renovators.

Rather than jumping straight into running ads that we knew wouldn’t convert, would waste money and ultimately damage their business reputation, we got to the heart of the problem: Luka Construction’s brand messaging and identity.
We kicked things off by defining Luka Construction’s purpose and positioning, focussing on the brand fundamentals first before exploring visual identity or website design. We positioned Luka Construction as home extension specialists, a succinct and value-led proposition that differentiated them from the standard kitchen or loft extension contractors.
As part of the brand refresh, we paired the new brand messaging with clean and powerful creative across the board. Simplicity was key so that their work could speak for itself. The new logo was designed to be approachable for the residential market as construction brands can often feel inaccessible to those who are not professionals. The colour palette embodies the simplicity, professionalism and verve that Luka Construction live and breathe.
Next, we designed and built the new website incorporating the new positioning and identity. In an industry with a bad reputation, we isolated trust as one of Luka Construction’s key selling points. We leveraged their excellent Checkatrade score and testimonials to build online credibility, nurturing customers through the consideration and decision stages of the buying journey.
To boost brand recognition, we also created a branded van wrap, resulting in free mobile advertising. The idea here was taking advantage of an opportunity that was currently being missed. They now have a way to spread the word without expensive ongoing marketing costs.
With the new website in place, we devised a digital marketing strategy to improve lead generation — the crux of why Luka Construction came to us. Through competitor and industry research we identified Google Search as the key channel for growth. Following in-depth keyword research and optimised copywriting, we launched a number of Google ad campaigns to drive high-quality traffic to the new website. The quality and clarity of the new site then took care of converting the legions of qualified leads into customers.
Luka Construction are now receiving over 20x the number of leads they were before and have grown their team in order to handle the demand.
