Meet Dan & Danielle, two of our LinkMeUp Buddies.
LinkMeUp Buddies is a new scheme for disabled children, young people and their families focused on fun, friendship and fulfilment. The idea was born by parents in Greenwich who struggled to find engaging and appropriate support for their disabled children and young adults.
Through our PA matching service, we enable families to employ committed, enthusiastic and like-minded Buddies (18 – 35 years), to provide support, share experiences, access their local community and develop new skills.
All Buddies are fully vetted by Vibrance including references, DBS and Right to Work checks.
LinkMeUp Buddies is an uplifting new service created to provide support for families and young people in Greenwich. The initiative is inspired by local families who are looking to find fun and appropriate assistance for young people and children with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities.
The new Buddies matching service offers invaluable support. It helps families employ a committed, similar-aged and like-minded Buddy for the disabled young person or child in their family. Buddies can offer help and opportunity by providing day-to-day support, sharing experiences, empowering young people to access their local community and developing new skills.
